Hello everyone,
As I mentioned in previous updates, I wanted to provide a “bonus” update during the weekend, this time about a project I started a long time ago.
Back in 2017, prior I started 3D printing, I started to design the cabin of the B737NG in 1/12 scale, I started making the main panel, sidewalls and central panels by hand which took me a lot of work. As I was pausing the project frequently, time passed and methods changed, I restarted the work this time using 3D software, however, although at that time I could defend myself designing, it was still difficult for me to do certain things.
With time, I gathered more experience, 3D printers became better and I decided to start fresh, for the third time, and once and for all make this a continuous project.
The render above still shows the work in a very early stage, because so much time passed since last time, I decided to start fresh and this is what I have so far. One thing I have to say is that 737 panels can be a bit different from aircraft to aircraft, so I may add certain options or different parts like the other type of glarewings with the mic/clock buttons.
I am not sure how worth are long projects like this, I often times feel frustrated as I cannot keep up with other manufacturers pace who release products every week, every month… To fully market a GSE vehicle, it can take me two or three months, even more depending on the complexity, so at times this can get very frustrating because it feels as if I am not advancing or it may seem to the outside like nothing is being done.
It makes me very happy for all the kind comments I receive, this gives me energies to continue doing what I love doing.
My beginnings are with the GSE models, they are my roots, however I do not want to limit my catalog to that, so as I have been doing for some time, I also want to create things related directly to the airliners, as the recent winglets/scimitars for the B737 in 1/72 scale, the B787 interior set, the ongoing 747 cargo, more items such as these will be done in the future, but as I mentioned earlier, it takes me longer to do things than others, so I really appreciate the patience you have with me and my work.
I would like to take this chance to announce that I may take a “break” in the middle of September, not to rest, but to organize my workplace and make things better safety-wise for me, there are molds to be organized, master parts to be saved, prototype parts to be discarded, and the list goes on and on…
This won’t change anything with the website as I will still be processing orders as always, but it may take me just a bit more time to present more progress with the ongoing projects for a couple weeks, however, I will do my best to proceed with my imminent objective which is the B747 cargo model and the new upcoming GSE items.
Thank you everyone for your time and support, I will do my best to share more things soon!
Best wishes,
Guillem
