Update 3 of 3

Hello everyone,
Today I am writing the last update of the three in which I will comment on the ongoing projects as well as officially announce that the second batch of the B787 Full set will be available tomorrow Friday.
It has been longer than expected, the production of the new fuselage, the new mold making, the casting, it all took time, on top of that, I had to change the product boxes, box art (also some bit of the instructions) and order the new and bit longer shipping boxes.

As I always mentioned in the entries where I write about the 787 project, I always say that I did learn a lot from the very beginning, this knowledge is currently being transferred to the 747 freighter project and even the new 787 product box was made keeping in mind the 747 set.

The 747 is in an advanced stage where I am currently working on the first prototype for the fuselage. I still cannot give a release date on this, mostly because it is not an exact sience, parts may need to be adjusted, however, the hardest has already been done. My objective is to have the two fuselage halves ready and check how the cargo holds and main deck fit inside.

As for the new GSE models, I am still working on the first two, the AST-1 and the Mallaghan catering truck. Although I mention two models, it is actually 6, since I am working on three scales simultaneously; 1/200, 1/144 and 1/72. It is true that a lot of the design is shared between scales, but there are things like the cabins and the bodies that require moldings for the different scales, so that is what I am currently working on, despite having finished the example model of the AST-1 and started the work of the example model of the catering in 1/72 scale, I need to make the mold of the different cabins since those are resin casted using transparent resin.
This is one of the new improvements that I am implementing in the new models, it took me quite some time to figure out this material, however, results were positive and so I am ready to move the projects forward.

It is a bit hard for me to set the brakes as I like to design, however, I am not going to work on other models until these 6 are already produced and units are being made.
This does not mean that I stopped designing, since most probably I will be able to share another update during the weekend to comment a bit on how my workflow is going and share what I am currently designing.

As I am preparing things for the restock and release of the various items tomorrow, I will be adding the correspondant product pages once I finish the update for today, pending to create the product page for the 737 winglets tomorrow.

To be honest, I am really exhausted, it is the temperatures and weather overall that we have here that makes things harder, so I may need to take a bit of a break towards mid-end next month.

Thank you everyone for reading me and for the support that I receive! There are lots of ideas and projects in my mind, but I must finish first what it is started.
Take good care everyone!
Best wishes,
Guillem
